In a dramatic late-night rescue, the Bengaluru City Police saved a 23-year-old woman who allegedly attempted to end her life by walking into the Bellandur Lake following prolonged domestic harassment.

The incident occurred around 9.23 p.m. on February 18 near the Bellandur police station limits. The woman, a 23-year-old resident of Iblur, called the emergency helpline Namma 112 stating that she intended to end her life due to distress caused by frequent domestic disputes with her husband, a water-tanker driver.
